St Georges to face Rushen in Boxing Day Railway Cup Final
2nd December, 2013
St George's will face Rushen in Boxing Day's BCS Railway Cup Final.
That's after two exciting semi-finals on Saturday.
The cup holders St George's had to show their character and class at the Bowl, coming from behind to defeat St Mary's 2-1.
Sam Kenny's side led inside the opening two minutes through Andy Glover, a lead they maintained until just after the hour when Sam Caine levelled matters.
The Geordies completed a period of dominance 15 minutes later when Chris Bass hit home what proved to be the winner.
St Mary's, who lost captain Dominic McGreevy to a second yellow card late on, went close to an equaliser but St George's deservedly booked their place in the final where they'll play Rushen.
