Manx Mountain Bike Club End to End Challenge 2014
9th September, 2014
Over 1400 mountain bikers set off on this year's End to End Mountain Bike Challenge in the Isle of Man on Sunday 7th September.
The challenge sees cyclists ride from the Point of Ayre in the north of the island to Cregneash in the south.
Although the figure is down on last year, the event, continues to attract riders from all over the world to compete over the 46-mile (75km) course. Riders have to tackle a variety of terrain during the event and climb more than 1,500 metres.
Manx Independent Carriers provided five 45ft trailers to transport the bikes from the Sea Terminal in Douglas to the start line at the Point of Ayre. MIC Depot Manager, David Jewell commented " The whole event ran like a military machine and was very well organised"
