Isle of Man Flower Festival
8th July, 2014
"The IOM Flower Festival aims to stimulate the senses : it is a project that brings together many sectors of our communities across the Island. It is both ecumenical and secular, and encompasses churches, heritage sites and village communities. People from every quarter of the island join in producing what we hope will be a glorious celebration not only of flowers, but of all things beautiful which transform our buildings and villages in this Year of Culture.
As in the past, in the days of the Manx Heritage Flower Festival, some of the venues will incorporate photography and works of local artists and craftsmen into their displays.
We hope that visitors and local residents alike will enjoy exploring the far corners of the island, including some they may not have not seen before, and that through the Festival, they will open the doors to venues not normally associated with such creative energy".
