Weather Update
2nd December, 2010
Manx Independent Carriers are pleased to advise all our customers that we have experienced minimal problems or delays due to the current weather conditions. The North West of England has escaped relatively unscathed from the heavy snow that has troubled the rest of England and Scotland. Likewise the Isle of Man has had very few problems although the freezing conditions mean that we have already used over 2 tonne of road salt at our depot this winter, that amount is as much as the total that we used the previous winter.
With the exception of Thursday 11th November when the Irish Sea suffered storm force 10 winds we have not had any missed sailings with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company whilst the container service operated by Mezeron missed 3 days sailings and arrived as late as 4pm on 3 separate occasions in November.
