UK Trucking Associations Welcome Tax On Foreign Freight Hauliers

24th May, 2010

The Freight Transport Association (FTA)and the Road Haulage Association (RHA) representing the interests of British freight hauliers have welcomed the new coalition government’s statement of intentions with regard to overseas hauliers shipping freight in and out of the country with considerable enthusiasm.

Foreign lorries have a considerable impact on UK roads, which they make no contribution to. This is in stark contrast to the rest of Europe where road pricing is prevalent in the majority of countries.
