TT 2010 proves great success.

7th June, 2010

THE Isle of Man 2010 TT festival has turned out to be a much better supported event than last year and has enjoyed the best start in years.

The Steam Packet has announced that forward booking numbers for this year's TT are 10,441, an increase of 777 (8 per cent) on last year's figure of 9,664.

TT sensation, Ian Hutchinson has proved to be the star of this years event with a third win in the week in the TT Superstock race after winning the Supersport race just hours earlier, the 30-year-old emulated his feat from last year of winning twice in one day and lifted his overhaul TT tally to six.

MHK Geoff Corkish is quoted as saying: 'The TT is an international event. There are people travelling from all over the world to come to this small island.

'The fact that it still has such a big profile after more than 100 years of racing is a testament to all the work being done to keep the TT alive.'
