TOTAL sold for €67 MILLION

Irish based DCC has agreed to buy oil distribution assets owned by Total in Britain, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands in a deal worth €67 million.

DCC Energy is one of the leading oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sales, marketing and distribution business in Britain and Ireland and one of the leading oil distribution businesses in Austria and Denmark. In the year ended 31 March 2011, DCC sold 7.1 billion litres of product to c.800,000 customers from its extensive network of 261 facilities.

The deal includes trade, fixed assets and stock of transport, commercial and home heating oil distribution business Total Butler, the share capital of Total’s oil distribution and retail service station businesses on the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, and contracts to supply transport fuels to about 300 dealer owned and operated retail service stations that are branded Total.

TOTAL Isle of Man limited was established on the island in 1989 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of TOTAL UK Ltd.

Initially TOTAL Isle of Man limited employed 8 people but that figure has now increased to over 70. TOTAL are one of two fuel wholesale companies on the Island having invested millions of pounds in its terminal facilities and service station network, TOTAL now have 11 retail sites on the Isle of Man.
