STEAM PACKET COMPANY WORKS ON IMPROVED ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM

5th November, 2013

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's online booking system will be offline for a few days next week as the Company takes the first step in future-proofing its website and reservations system and improving the customer experience.

Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward explained: 'This will be the first step in what will be a series of improvements to our website and booking system. We are delighted to be working with PDMS, a highly respected Isle of Man business with a strong reputation.

'Our website www.steam-packet.com will remain available throughout next week. However, to allow the changes to take place, it is necessary for the online booking facility to be taken offline, starting on Monday 11th November until Thursday 14th November. Access to the "My Account" area will also not be available during this time.

'We will have an even more stringent security system in place to protect payments made online. This is the first of many planned developments which will improve the speed and reliability of our reservations system.'
