Reigning Champions win Isle of Man FA Cup

6th April, 2010

St Georges have once again won the Isle of Man Football Association Cup.

A brace of goals from Island forward Calum Morrissey and a penalty from Chris Bass Jnr meant St George's secured the CuPlas FA Cup again at Castletown on Easter Monday.

Rushen took the lead, but possibly the Goal of the Season from Morrissey at the beginning of the second-half evened things up.

No further goals meant that the match went into extra time.

St Georges scored twice more with Morrissey and Bass Jr ensuring the club's seventh FA Cup crown.

A late header proved little more than a consolation for Rushen who also recently were runners up in the Railway Cup and the match finished 3-2 in favour of the Douglas side.
