Manx Independent deliver steel frame for new school
8th March, 2010
The expertise of Manx Independent Carriers has been called upon to deliver the structural steel framework for the £30 million new secondary school at Bemahague, Onchan, that will house pupils aged 11 to 14 from St Ninian's High School. Work began last July and is set to be completed by July 2012, ready for opening that September.
So far we have delivered more than 14 loads including some giant sized pieces of metal. Pictured below is one load of some 18 metres in length which was delivered recently. The trailer is an extendible "trombone" type which can extend up to 20 metres giving an overall vehicle length of about 22.5 metres.
