Manx Independent Carriers deliver Ice Skating Rink
27th November, 2013
A rink similar to the one brought to the island for the first time in 2009 is making a return this year in St John's. The first of the loads have just been delivered by Manx Independent Carriers and the venue will be operational shortly.
The organisers of the island's real ice rinks at the Villa Marina Gardens have teamed up with PokerStars through their corporate giving programme 'Helping Hands' and Tynwald Mills Shopping Centre to provide 'Ice Skate Isle of Man' this winter.
One of the main aims for the rink is to raise thousands of pounds for charities through a series of events throughout December. The charities chosen to benefit are Save the Children, Age Concern, Hospice Isle of Man and The Children's Centre and with dedicated charity events planned – organisers hope to deliver an early Christmas present for the charities supporting the amazing work being done by them all over the island
This year the rink will run from December 7 through to January 6 and will be at the entrance to the Tynwald Mills Shopping Centre in St John's.
