Mannanan engine problems go on longer than expected.

The Steam Packet plans to get Mannanan running on full power again have suffered a setback.
Manannan has been running on only three of her four engines following a failed crankshaft. The damaged engine has been stripped and the damaged crank removed whilst the vessel remained in service. Unfortunately, inspection of the engine has revealed more severe damage than was initially expected.
The Steam Packet had hoped to carry out repairs and have the vessel operating on all four engines in time for the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling but this problem means that Mannanan will continue to operate on only three engines during the Festival period, meaning journey times will be longer than advertised.
