A £114,000 order for eight new Ford Transits from the 4 Wheel Drive and Van Centre at Isle of Man Business Park was received this month. The vehicles will increase the Isle of Man Parcel Delivery fleet, employing a total of 17 vehicles solely on Next Day deliveries.

As agents for many UK National and International Parcel Carriers and Couriers, Manx Independent are the leading overnight delivery service to the Isle of Man.

Companies such as UPS, FEDEX, ANC, Initial Citylink, Amtrak and Geopost all depend on our service to meet their delivery deadlines and the new additions to the fleet will provide reliability, economy and the highest profile of any Isle of Man Carrier.

John Quaye, Managing Director, commented: "This is part of our ongoing commitment to the Isle of Man market, our customers and staff. The new vehicles are more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly and are a continuing part of our vehicle replacement programme. In the past year we have invested over £150,000 in new vehicles and trailers and this order alone represents a further investment of over £100,000."
