Isle of Man Steam Packet's fast craft Mannannan arrives in Douglas
12th May, 2009
THE ISLE OF MAN STEAM PACKETS's flagship new vessel, MANANNAN, finally arrived in Douglas on Monday May 11th after completing an 18-hour journey from Portsmouth, where it has spent the past nine months undergoing extensive alterations and refit. The £20million project has transformed what is said to be the biggest twin hulled aluminimum vessel of its type in the Irish Sea to high class passenger accommodation, with more car spaces available than any of the company's other vessels.
The vessel which has had a total refit and is one of the largest twin hulled aluminium craft operating in the Irish Sea is scheduled to enter service on 22nd May 2009 on the Liverpool route and promises to herald a new era in sea travel. Visit the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company website
