Isle of Man Postal Strike Warning
15th June, 2010
Isle of Man Postal workers could go on strike over the recently announced Government pay freeze.
POSTAL workers have moved a step closer to strike action following unsuccessful talks between their union and the Isle of Man Post Office.
Communication Workers' Union representatives met Post Office finance officer David Catlow last Thursday, 10th June, in order to try to reach a deal over the pay freeze.
CWU assistant secretary Terry Pullinger said they had left feeling disappointed and in a worse situation than before.
The Union Secretary said they would "look to use any means possible to secure a pay rise. That could even mean strike action."
