Isle of Man Bay Festival

17th June, 2010

Work to prepare Nobles park in the Isle of Man for the huge BAY FESTIVAL is under way, organiser Jamie Irving has said.

The Isle of Man Bay Festival will be held in Noble's Park in Douglas from 18 to 21 June.

The giant tent, which will host the concerts, has arrived on the island on five trailers and 200 workers, cranes and forklifts were needed to erect it over a week.

'The logistics are coming together nicely,' said Mr Irving. 'It's obviously a massive task putting the nuts and bolts together to allow us to deliver a festival on this scale. We are ready to meet the task head-on. This will be a truly great event.'

Among the acts due to perform are JLS, The Feeling, Lemar and Spandau Ballet.

Manx Independent Carriers expertise was once again called on and we have been the main supplier of Transport and Logistics to the promoters with more than 10 full trailer loads scheduled to arrive with all the sound, lighting and generating equipment.

We were the main transport supplier for the 2007 Peel Bay Festival in 2007 which attracted over 25,000 guests and featured top bands such as The Who and Madness.
