Good news on the weather front
14th December, 2011
Following the unprecedented recent bad weather with wind gusts to storm force 10 on occasions it appears that there is now a break in the forthcoming weather with winds diminishing as the weekend approaches.
We expect normal service to be resumed as the 08.45 sailing of the Ben my Chree on Wednesday 14th December and do not foresee any further disruption throughout that day and the following day.
The last sailing of the Ben my Chree prior to her going to dry dock on Friday 16th December will be the 02.15 departure from Heysham. There will be no further sailings of the Ben my Chree until 14.15 on Monday 19th December when she is expected to sail with a full load of freight.
The fast craft Mannanan will provide passenger services with a strictly limited amount of freight being carried whilst the Ben my Chree is out of service.
