Digger falls from trailer onto family saloon

18th August, 2009

The incident happened on Monday 10th August at Governor's Bridge, Douglas, when a Leyland Daf lorry towing a machinery trailer carrying a digger was travelling around the roundabout at the junction.

The digger moved on the trailer which then overturned causing the digger to crash onto the roof of a Peugeot 307 carrying a family of four, which was waiting to access the junction from Bemahague Road. The family miraculously escaped with only minor cuts from flying glass.
