Anne Frank [+ you} Exhibition
4th March, 2010
To coincide with the 65th Anniversary of the arrest of Anne Frank, the 'Anne Frank [+You}' exhibition finally arrives at St German’s Cathedral, Peel.
Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who was born in the city of Frankfurt am Main in Weimar Germany, and who lived most of her life in or near Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. By nationality, she was officially considered a German until 1941, when she lost her nationality owing to the anti-Semitic policies of Nazi Germany.
Following her arrest by the Nazis at the age of only 15, she spent the last seven months of her life in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, succumbing to disease and starvation only three weeks before its liberation by the British army.
Anne Frank [+ You} has attracted 2.8 million visitors around Britain since it was launched in 2005 and the exhibition opens on the Island for a month commencing on Thursday 4th March 2010.
Manx Independent Carriers are pleased to be associated with the organising Committee and have offered transport and storage services free of charge.
