3 Legged race record comes home to the Isle of Man

The Guinness World Record for the 3 Legged Race is officially back in the Isle of Man following a ceremony held at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in Douglas.
The official Guinness World Record Certificate was presented to the Chief Minister, Allan Bell, who accepted the certificate on behalf of the Isle of Man. The race organisers, Barclays Wealth and Investment Management community investment committee, Home Strategic, Event Solutions, and The Douglas Development Partnership were also presented with official copies of the Certificate. The Worshipful Mayor, Mrs Carol Malarkey accepted the certificate on behalf of The Douglas Development Partnership.
The record attempt, which took place in May, saw 649 pairs compete over 200 metres and was watched by an estimated 7,000 spectators. Previously, a school in Morecambe had held the Record for 551 pairs.
