Manx Independent Carriers offers a total full and part load service. Operating from our UK and Isle of Man Depots we cover the whole of the UK and Ireland.

We operate a varied and modern fleet of trailers ensuring we have the right equipment to match your load from Double Deck tautliners to 13.6M step frame flat trailers.

We are able to carry any possible commodity that you require to be moved. Please remember when planning a full load to the Isle of Man that the maximum gross vehicle weight carrying a divisible load is 38 tonne.

Retail Distribution

Manx Independent Carriers has 25 years of experience in serving the Isle of Man’s retail sector.

We understand the importance of early morning deliveries to ensure product reaches the shelves in time for the days trading.

Our retail distribution team offer deliveries directly from the early morning ferry arrival. Our UK Depot are equally flexible offering late connections to connect with the overnight ferry sailing to the Isle of Man. Deliveries are made on modern tail lift vehicles.

A full reverse logistics solution is offered for any returns the Customer may require.

Parcel Distribution

Manx Independent Carriers delivers for the vast majority of UK and Worlds largest parcel Companies.

With unrivalled technology we are able to offer a complete track and trace system via a secure customer web portal.

All our drivers are equipped with GPS enabled scanners allowing us to transmit tracking and delivery data within minutes, directly to our Customers own systems. Through our technology we can offer the most reliable and secure delivery system available on the Isle of Man.

Our services are trusted by DPD, UPS, Fedex, Citylink and Nightfreight.

Pallet and Groupage Distribution

Manx Independent Carriers ships nightly pallet and groupage trailers from its UK Distribution Centre located in Skelmersdale.

Ideally situated at Junction 5 of the M58 just minutes from the M6 we offer a nationwide pallet collection service on our own vehicles.

Our Skelmersdale Depot also acts as a receiving centre for Customers that wish to deliver their freight directly to us. We ship over 20 trailers a day to the Isle of Man.

Specialist Services

Manx Independent Carriers has 25 years of experience in solving some of the most challenging transport requirements to and from the Isle of Man.

We are proud to have been involved with some of the most prestigious building projects the Island has ever undertaken.

Our Specialist Services team like to be involved at the start of a project, advising clients during the planning stage. This enables us to meet the Island’s strict guidelines on moving heavy and abnormal loads.

We liase directly with the Isle of Man Steam Packet and local authorities to ensure your special load arrives on time every time.

Edmundson Haulage

Edmundson Haulage is a wholly owned subsidiary of Manx Independent Carriers.

Edmundson Haulage is the longest established Haulier serving the Isle of Man being formed in 1936. Manx Independent Carriers purchased the Company from John Edmundson in 2001.

Edmundson operates a full UK Haulage service as well as collecting and delivering on behalf of Manx Independent Carriers in the UK
