IOM Post strike cancelled

7th April, 2011

Strike action planned by Isle of Man postal workers on Tuesday, April 12, has been called off, after further talks between management and the Communication Workers Union.

Terry Pullinger, CWU national official, said: "We now have an environment where people can put ideas on the table".

Mike Kelly, chief executive of IOM Post, said a framework had been agreed with the union to explore ways to resolve the current dispute.
