As usual about this time of year we prepare ourselves for the Christmas period and the expected increase in parcel volumes. This will be more important than ever this year due to anticipated posatal strikes and delays within their system. Most of our parcel customers predict large than normal volumes and we have geared up accordingly with extra delvery vehicles and temporary staff.
Of our particular benefit to our home delivery customers has been our evening service which operates between 17.00 and 21.00 every day. This has been useful for people who work during the day and has increased our delivery success rate.
During the run up to Christmas our depot remains open later to allow customers to collect packages after we have left a calling card.
